Albert: If I’m a user of software, what do I want to accomplish. They say they want something done, they want to be able to do something and I can develop a user story based off of that.
Paul: Data science then does their analytics and then we need to be able to take the results of their analytics and be able to display those on dashboards or on other applications that they will use.
Ben: Paul brings some powerful technical capability. I’ve watched him learn a new software language in a day and then implement an algorithm that our customer still uses today.
Albert: I was in military intelligence as an intelligence analyst. It kind of opened my eyes to software development. Software development is an art form. You have a concept and then you see it through. You put in work and then eventually you get to see the results. That’s awesome it’s like having an audience you know it’s a really cool experience.
Ben: Data analytics which is the development of an algorithm. That algorithm gets handed off from the data science team to our software development team and they will productionize that, they’ll put it into an enterprise level application, classic business intelligence tools that really help in decision support. So that the whole enterprise can get the value of some very complex math but in an approachable and easy to use way. Paul: We cross learn here so people have a lot of skills across the whole domain, of whole items of software development. So allows us people to move into different positions and be able to adapt the company and the personnel on these projects to be agile so we can always be there for our customers.
