Kevin McCann is a software developer who enjoys front-end design, UI/UX, back-end services and controllers database administration, and all the middle-ware to tie it all together. Kevin loves solving puzzles and feels that most of software development is finding and solving puzzles (“bugs” in the software lexicon) in the code. He loves the whole process, from tracking down and isolating the bug to architecting and implementing a solution.
He especially loves working at Freya because there is a plethora of different applications and projects he gets to work on- from internal applications, working closely with the end users, to Boeing-related data analytics support, there’s just such a diversity of work, he never tires of it. He feels there is always something new and interesting to learn or solve.
Kevin is an avid traveler: having lived on 6 continents and traveled to 45 states. He loves exploring new places, whether they are new concrete cityscapes (Havana, Cuba was his latest adventure) or more natural settings (like an island off the coast of Belize, his winter 2018 escape). Kevin loves everything about travel, from airports and hostels to meeting new people and learning new recipes/trying new food. (And with our awesome work/life balance at Freya, he can fit in several adventures a year!)
